Merry Christmas + this week's ELLE mag

A Christmas eve that promises to be sleepless... too many great things are happening, my mind is racing, I can't sleep!
I begin the day with a HUGE interview with the San Jose Mercury News then the San Francisco Chronicle... that's over 4 million daily readers!

A balanced breakfast: papaya with lime juice, home made granola cranberry cereal with home made hazelnut milk ("Hazelnut Milk" recipe in the LeBootCamp weightloss program)

1h work out with Brian to keep up the good habits...

Some last minute shopping, light lunch in prevision for tonight: lentil soup, a little grilled salmon and lots of berries.

1 hour accumulated walk

no snack

Festive dinner, of course I do not watch what I eat when I am celebrating, so I won't list it,.... as you know, LeBootCamp is not a diet but a lifestyle... tout va bien!

We have the pleasure of being in ELLE this week :)

We are in HEALTH NEWS :) yes!

I love this very earnest French health site. Health News presents unbiased information with honesty and integrity unlike some other health sites where, considering the marketing incomes generated by their advertisers, the editorial content is strongly questionable as the brands can then lobby in their own favor.
You can read the article here: Valerie Orsoni - MyBodyCoach sur la Wii Sport

On an empty stomach: Rooibos tea followed by 45 minutes walk on the telephone

1 hour weight training with super Brian ant non stop video shoot

Lunch with girlfriends... we had a blast! and tapas: a bit of tuna carpaccio with a mouthful guacamole, 2 mini burgers, 1.5 empanadas and a nice strawberries and cream  desert :) yummy!

30 minutes walk on the telephone

No snack, let's be reasonable!

Dinner: watercress salad (with detoxifying virtues), home made hummus, 1 slice gluten free bread and 2 wiener style sausages and to finish 2 squares white chocolate and 3 slices fresh pineapple.

Press conference + "Le Concert" and back to SF

For the last two days of this trip, the steady pace shows no sign of slowing down, witch is rather good considering my current news.

I have a great meeting with a high flying investigative journalist, Bernard de la Villardiere whos work I much admire.

Several interviews and a press conference on Friday morning for the launch of the new Nestle Fitness breakfast cereal. I take to the stage to explain the concept of coaching with Nestle and give a little class (if that's what you can call it :) on exercises the journalists can perform sitting down to relax their upper back.

We had a few good laughs and, to my great surprise, a round of applause at the end... I am very happy to see that the journalists have enjoyed the time we spent together!

After a lunch with Carole in a typical Parisian cafe, I am on my way to a meeting advance a very interesting project.

And, at last, an afternoon off before my journey back to the USA,... I choose a long relaxing stroll... at least 3 hours through Paris, with a spot of Christmas shopping along the way. I especially stock up on the all the typical French delicacies I miss when abroad... I finish off with an early dinner at "Paradis du Fruit" and go and see LE CONCERT, a gem of a movie. So I managed a little French culture as well, the cherry on the cake.

Now, lets go and pack and tomorrow I cross the big pond back to the US.

TF1 and France 3 recordings, Elli and more...

I spend my day recording a feature on my latest book "Secrets de Coach" for the TF1 program "10h00 Le Mag"

On an empty stomach: fresh lemon juice + room temperature water + green tea + 10 almonds + 1 banana + handful strawberries

I head off for Neuilly-sur-Seine where I meet Nathalie, the bootcamper who has volunteered to be my "guinea pig" or rather model for the TV shoot. And we are off for 2 hours shooting in every room of the house.

For lunch I meet up with Elli Medeiros in my Parisian HQ, she is a ball of energy... and she radiates the same vitality as she did in her hit "toi, toi, mon toi"
Elli has a vegetarian meal, my choices are more classic: cod steak with Chanterelles, Orezza water and a thin black fig tart

Having restored myself I go back to the shoot and we wrap up late afternoon, just on time to do an interview for that you can read here

Dinner: home made soup + a choice of mezzes with teff bread and plenty of fruit for desert.

"Secrets de Coach" in this week's French ELLE

This is another marathon day but always conducted with Zenitude :)

Just a note to let you now that we are in this week's ELLE :)

My Private Coach gets a New Look!

That is it, I have announced it a while ago... MyPrivateCoach has changed it's look to start the winter full of energy!

---> - don't hesitate to give me your opinion on our new winter look

Another good night finishes at 5 am... I can't shake off the jet lag it seems!

Green tea with Stevia to alkanise my body first thing in the morning.

No early morning walk... after a day of fasting because of a tummy bug (well, probably more likely to be an indigestion, and that, is really an engorged gall bladder :)... This morning I am testing the new Nestle Fitness cereal  that won't be out until early 2010... I love the idea of tasting something that is still secret :) topped with fresh raspberries, hazelnut milk and a bit of stevia

I dash for town for a lunch at the top :) on the menu, no starter but some gorgeous bread "a l'ancienne", a cod steak with chanterelle mushrooms (ok and cream too) and for pudding a thin black fig tart with  ball of a cherry sorbet

I follow with an interview with a journalist who is testing Weight Watchers and their point system... when I find out how many points the little cakes with tea cost almost faint... this is all too stressful for me all this counting... It works for some, as this approach is healthy and balanced, why not?

No snack nor much walking because the day is really packed.

I carry on with my marathon day at a pace of 2km/h because of an accident, it takes me 3 hours to cover 20 km... I have had to draw on all my Zen skills not to loose it!

300 glute squeezes in the traffic jam, that's better than nothing

Dinner: a herring fillet (I blotted the oil off on tissue paper) + 1 home made soup + 2 clementines and a few grapes

MIcromania trade show, David Ghetta, My Body Coach for Wii

Up at 8h15 after sleeping like a baby, that's nice for a change, it is true happiness to feel on such great form, I feel like a new coach!

It's just as well, today I am going to the Micromania (video games) trade show for the promotion of the Wii My Body Coach game.

Fresh lemon juice + room temperature water + green tea and Stevia to alkanise my body + an all fruit breakfast: 5 fresh almonds + 1 banana + a few strawberries

And I'm off to take an exercise class, a new technique I am testing and I walk there of course to get warmed up!
20 minutes fast walk and 1 hour joints' gym... I was rather doubtful at first, I leave pumped up and with "happy" joints... a really nice completely unusual class.

Lunch: raw bread and hummus + 2 teff flour crackers and hummus (I like it :) + a little bit of rabbit in tomato sauce and 4 mandarines + 3 small chocolates for desert.

20 minutes accumulated walk

No snack, I am at the Micromania Game Show promoting the video game. Some Boot.Campers saw the announcement on my FaceBook fan page and on the LeBootCamp Weightloss forum and joined me on the stand where BigBen, the manufacturer of the game, are exhibiting... then I take to the stage on the "grand podium" to address about a hundred frenzied young gamers :)

Finally, a nice chat with David Guetta who is spinning in LA for new years eve...

Dinner at La Boule Rouge: plenty of little mezze style plates with mostly healthy choices with a lot of vegetables (in fact, now that I think about it, there are only veggies, I let myself go with the quantities) followed by half a gilthead bream, I can't finish, I won't force myself...  cleanse my palet with 1/4 fresh pineapple

1 hour walk for digestion but that isn't enough... I am not used to eat much in the evening... If I overindulge it's usually at lunch time... so at 4am I pay the price for my excesses and wake up not to go back to sleep... that will teach me :)

Marathon days, Direct8 program recording

Those were marathon days I will try and describe in a few words... a large number of  TV, radio and magazine interviews... several great encounters.... a lot of interest for my new book "Secrets de Coach" and the My Body Coach game for Wii about to launch.

Superb Direct8 TV show, a grape tasting with Veronique (of Veronique et Davina, the French fitness pioneering duo of the 80's) ... and many more lovely meets

Boot.Meeting in ANGERS (France) - Quernons and marvelous energy coaching

What a day... a fair amount of traveling but the results match expectations.

I meet the Angevin Boot.Campers with great excitement! They are fewer than anticipated, the flu and various other bugs have struck down even some of the most enthusiastic.

Breakfast in the train: 1 raw bar + 1 banana and a green tea (yes the SNCF does serve green tea)

We join up with Annie, Angelique and Marianne who have organized the day masterfully. I arrive with Cricri who travelled from Paris with me... we dash to the other side of the square to meet up with Sarah, a gorgeous Boot.Camper whom after just one month is already 3kg lighter. Congratulations!

30 minutes walk on an empty stomach before a classic LeBootCamp lunch at the Auberge Du Logis inside the chateau: smoked salmon, green salad, fouasse (a small flat bread that is sliced filled, a bit like pita), little white beans... and for pudding, no cakes, no but a fruit salad instead.

During the meal, Marianne shows us pictures of herself and her husband before and after LeBootCamp... WOW, IMPRESSIVE!!! LeBootCamp works very well on men, there was never any doubt and here we have a perfect photographic proof (and later on in the flesh).
After restoring ourselves we go off for a 2 hour treasure hunt around Angers' old town: 60 questions, places to find, pictures to recognise... therefore 2 hours of walk!

On the way, we nibble a few Quernons, a local speciality (very very nice: made of nougatine covered in slate colored chocolate)

For snacks, we sample some of Marianne's raw creations: dried banana, dried mango, almonds... and green tea (ok, ok, I own up) and a few Quernons the very toughtfull Marianne offered us.

Then it is time for the presentation and book signing at Angers' English-speaking library. I am pleasantly surprised at the number of people who turn up despite the rain and it being Sunday evening! The discussion and the Q&A are interesting and stimulating. I finish off with the "Secrets de Coach" book signing.

I skip the champagne and fruit juices but enjoy a few of Marianne's delicious canapes.

Cricri and I run to to the station by fear of missing our train back to the capital. As a result we are 20 minutes early and have plenty of time to settle in to our seats.

30 minutes very fast (jogging) walk accumulated in addition throughout the day

In the train, we can't resist and eat a few more tempting Quernons :)

Dinner: a home made soup + 2 clementines

100 brazilian moves

Off to bed! (very late)

Next stop, Paris... CHERIE FM broadcast

That's it, after 5 dream days spent in NYC... it is time to get back on track... that of my book and Wii My Body Coach launch.

Today's meals are rather unusual because of this day's frantic racing around.

Breakfast: 3 croissants and an orange juice, yes I know, that is not classic LeBootCamp style!

2 hours accumulated walk

Lunch: 1 wild mushroom soup
Dinner: at the airport, a panini, just the filling, I ditched the bread + a handful chips with ketchup

I will make up for it tomorrow (no guilt, absolutely never! :)

In the airplane: 200 buttock squeezes + 100 nutcrackers

Middle of the night meal on board: little couscous salad with shrimps + chicken and vegetables (I systematically turn down the bread offered, I am sitting down for a while, remember) + yogurt and little brownie (really not a balanced meal, I have to speak to AIR FRANCE and make a few suggestions)

Upon arrival, after a rather uncomfortable flight (a lot of turbulence), breakfast: 1 cup tea with stevia + 1 brioche and another plain yogurt... I think I have really filled up on dairy now! I pass on their sugar loaded orange juice made of concentrate.

At lunchtime I am too jet lagged to eat anything. I just sip a home made fruit juice and nibble a banana.
After a little nap, I head for the CHERIE FM radio studios to record a series that will broadcast on Friday 23rd from 6am to 9am. Another great experience.

Green tea dinner: 1 slice of bread with hummus + 1 piece of roast chicken with mixed vegetables + a few grapes

Off to bed coachie!

New York! New York!

Here we are in the famous Big Apple...

Despite a horrendous weather forecast, we braved the cold (very windy avenues:)... on the agenda, over 3-4 hours walk every day... easy, the distances to cover are usually rather big, but walkable.

No breakfast because of the 9 am landing. By the time we reach our hotel, settle in and catch up with some sleep, it is long past breakfast!

3 hours walk
100 floor abs
Lunch in a Mexican restaurant: guacamole mixed at the table, garlic shrimps and corn crisps

1 hour walk

Dinner Chez Gabriel with Sandie and Gary... and more walking

Again a great deal of walking... we attempt a visit to the Guggenheim,

we actually manage to get in, but are deterred by a 3rd queue, never mind lets set off and face the weather.

We soon find solace with a bit of shopping. I do very well at Nanette Lepore's, the New York designer who is on the up... and step out with a superb alpaga handbag covered in little pompoms... wow... thank you my darling for this gorgeous gift!
(on the picture with Elyse, a really great girl from my NY PR team) .

After a dream week-end, I prepare for a 3 day interview marathon... at least 4 a day, always accompanied by my super and very private body guard as well as a member of my American PR team (5 people are working on the subject, that is efficient:)

After 5 exciting days it is time to pack up and head for the next stop on our tour, another very exciting city, Paris here I come!
I will be launching my book "Secrets de Coach" as well as the Wii My Body Coach.
